Following their popular partnership on Jungle Cruise, Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt are pairing up again in a new superhero film Ball and Chain. The project has yet to be claimed by a studio as of yet but is being written by Emily V. Gordon, adapted by the comic from the 90s by Scott Lobdell.
The film depicts the story of a married couple facing issues in their relationship. Oh, they also have superpowers that only work properly when they are in unison with one another. The star couple will also be producing the project alongside Dany and Hiram Garcia and Kevin Misher.
Jungle Cruise was originally intended to be released on the 24th of July but has been pushed back to next year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Other upcoming projects by the pair are Johnson’s Red Notice which is an action-comedy distributed by Netflix starring Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds. As for Blunt, the eagerly awaited A Quite Place Part II is still due to be released this year but not until the 4th of September due to the pandemic.
