The Rise of Skywalker marked the end of an era for the Skywalker Saga but also the end of many actors’ time appearing in the popular films. One of the most popular actors is Mark Hamill, who reprised his role of Luke Skywalker for the saga. But he has confirmed that this will certainly be his last appearance in the films and that he’s closed that chapter of his life for good.
Hamill took to Twitter to commemorate the emotional ending to his time playing Luke.

With over 3 million followers, the actor constantly posts to his Twitter to give fans little insights into his time on set and tidbits about the franchise. He was also one of the first actors to post an emotional goodbye in honour of co-star Carrie Fisher when she passed away in 2016. When it was revealed that he would be wrapping his 40 years as Luke Skywalker, he also wrote a letter to say goodbye to the beloved character.
