With the victory over #ReleasetheSnyderCut, the DCEU fandom are excitedly awaiting news on what the new cut of Justice League could involve. Zack Snyder reported that 75% of the film will be unseen footage which opens up the possibility of his cut being unrecognisable from the original. Especially in the fact that it could include Supergirl, a rumour which he denied two years ago.
During a watch party for Man of Steel, Snyder stated during the scene where an open pod on the Kryptonian ship was shown that it was his way of telling the audience that he was ready to introduce Supergirl into the DCEU at some point. Even though we know that she won’t be a big part of Justice League, it’s looking as if she could appear for a cameo – for fans of the CW show, however, it’s not going to be the same casting. Sources state that the studio is looking towards Elle Fanning for the role.
The Snyder Cut is looking to be up to four hours long and could be released as a series rather than a singular release so it’s plausible that Supergirl could appear in order to set up a future film or establishing her character in the universe to appear later.
What do you think? Will Snyder add Supergirl into the mix? Is Elle Fanning a good cast for it? Let us know in the comments below and be sure to follow for more film news and updates on new projects.
