DC fans have had a week of exciting updates following the announcement that the Snyder Cut of Justice League will finally be released to HBO Max. Many actors have already contributed their thoughts on how they feel about the release and even though Jesse Eisenberg wasn’t a huge part of the original Justice League, he has stated that he will have a bigger role in the new cut.

I spoke to Zack a couple of weeks ago and he told me about it. Yeah [I’m excited], because I’m friends with Zack. I’m so happy for him that he gets to release something he’s proud of. I mean, I can’t think of any other precedent in history where there was something of this scope. Because it’s not just about releasing the movie, but it required all of this… we call it post-production. So it’s not just they’re releasing scenes that are finished, they had to do a lot of post-production and it’s such a big process. And yeah, I’m so happy for him. He’s a great guy with a very, very specific vision and so, yes, I’m happy that he gets that. And he seemed really happy.

The prompt for the Snyder Cut to be released came when the director, Zack Snyder, sadly had to leave set upon a family tragedy. From a number of reshoots and editing, the project came out entirely differently from how he had intended for it to be. Fans then continued to campaign for the film to be put through its paces again under Snyder’s watchful eye.

The budget for this comes from HBO Max and will cost up to $20-30 million. But fans can’t help but think that it will be worth it for the intended vision for the film to finally be released.
