While fans may be mourning the end of series 4 of Rick and Morty, they can rejoice in the fact that the show has been confirmed for a fifth series and possibly up to a tenth series. The animated show details the adventures of genius scientist Rick Sanchez and his grandson Morty Smith as they travel through the multiverse and get into comedic antics. The show was created by Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland. Here’s what we know about the upcoming series.

The end of series 4 finished with the realisation that Rick did clone Beth and sent one of the clones off into space – but he doesn’t know whether it was the clone or whether it was Beth. The Beths made amends and it’s likely that Space Beth will be a series regular in the next series. There’s been no inclination as of yet what the series’ arc will be for the fifth as it often follows the format of setting it up in the first episode and following through in the last. But there are hints that Evil Morty could return.

The plan for the release schedule of the popular show was for there to be limited breaks between the series as producers were aware of the eagerness for updates of the show. But with coronavirus, it’s likely that Rick and Morty will also fall prey to the long list of delays that it has caused in the entertainment industry. Hopefully, it will be released at the end of 2020.
